I hope everybody who could watch the news story on TV today could do so. I videotaped it and will be converting to digital video downloadable on the website within a couple weeks hopefully.
As for what I thought of the report, while it did not present any specific details, it did bring attention to this site. I spent a lot more time in the studio than was shown and I did take an aggressive stance on the many issues mentioned on this site (shipping practices, rude customer service, late delivery, etc.). But I don't think there was enough time in the news program to include everything. So while it was not as aggressive as some would have hoped, I tried my best.
As to the comments about making the site professional, that is what I have attempted to do. I am not a website designer or creative by any stretch of the imagination, but I have tried to make the site as professional as possible. If anybody has any advice for me then please let me know in the "Ideas" section of the message boards. Does the yellow color scheme really diminish the professionalism of the site? I think it helps the text to stand out, but I could be mistaken.
And once again, I apoligize for the pop-up banners. But unless somebody can tell me a better message board host FOR FREE then there is not much I can do. Please e-mail or post your suggestions because I take them to heart.

I havn't had a reason to hunt for a message board, so I don't know of any off hand, but I'm sure there must be one out there somewhere.
I really don't mind ads, but the popups on this particular host are insanley huge and irritating. If you can't find an ad free host, i'm sure you could at least find one with less annoying ads.
As for the color scheme...while I don't care for the color scheme, it's more the combination of the design with the color that makes the site look worse than it really needs to.
I think if your site design skills are limited, you're best off sticking to simple designs and less gaudy colors, so that attention is focused more on your content and less on your design.

From what I read on the abc website, yeah it didn't sound like it went into too much detail but that's ok. As for minimizing the buyrite sux crap, I think it's pretty minimal as it is, considering the moderator does not edit anybody's posts and allows guests to post. Not really much you can do about it, except maybe keep it in the venting area, and if you don't want to read about that just don't go there.
